      Tour Program

Morning: The driver and guide will pick you up from your hotel and head to Thay Pagoda. Built during the Ly Dynasty, Thay Pagoda is linked to the legendary life of Zen Master Tu Dao Hanh. Initially, it was a small hermitage called Huong Hai Am. Later, King Ly Nhan Tong had it rebuilt, creating two main sections: the Upper Pagoda (Dinh Son Tu) on the mountain and the Lower Pagoda (Thien Phuc Tu). At Thay Pagoda, you will visit the site dedicated to Tu Dao Hanh, a famous Zen master associated with mystical legends and the founder of Vietnam’s Water Puppet Theater. The pagoda also houses an ancient bronze bell from the Ly Dynasty and 18 statues of Arhats.

Tay Phuong Pagoda, originally built in wooden structures, has undergone multiple restorations throughout the centuries but still retains much of its ancient charm. One of the most striking features of Tay Phuong Pagoda is its collection of 18 wooden statues of arhats (disciples of Buddha), which are considered a masterpiece of Vietnamese art. These statues are intricately carved and painted, showcasing the fine craftsmanship of the artisans during the 18th century. The pagoda is also famous for its beautiful carvings, murals, and decorative elements.

Afterward, you will continue to the renowned Buddhist site of Tay Phuong Pagoda, which is known for its 18 famous Arhats. Visitors come here to make wishes for fame, wealth, prosperity, and peace.

Noon: The driver and guide will then take you to a restaurant for lunch and a rest.

Afternoon: Visitors will arrive in Thach Xa, a place renowned for its many bamboo and woodcrafts. Among its unique products is the bamboo dragonfly. Using bamboo and skilled craftsmanship, the artisans of the Tay Phuong village have created lively and charming bamboo dragonflies that often surprise and delight many people. Here, you will have the opportunity to create your own bamboo dragonfly and decorate it according to your personal preferences.

After that, our tour will return to Hanoi Old Quarter to take part in a motorbike tour and enjoy street food. It has 3 parts for tourists.
