Morning: The company’s car and tour guide will pick you up at the hotel and depart for Bac Ninh province. Upon arrival in Bac Ninh, the tour guide will take you to visit But Thap Pagoda, an ancient pagoda with a unique architectural style. But Thap Pagoda is believed to have been built around the 17th century during the Later Le dynasty.
The architectural design of the pagoda follows the “internal construction, external decoration” style. Despite having gone through hundreds of years of history, the pagoda still retains its ancient beauty. This is also one of the national historical sites that tourists should visit. You definitely won’t want to miss the chance to participate in the But Thap Pagoda festival.
Then, we will go to Dong Ho Painting Village. Emerging around the 16th century, Dong Ho paintings were created using traditional methods, embodying a blend of skill, patience, and refined artistic aesthetics. These are not merely paintings inspired by imagination; they are printed from carved blocks, and achieving the level of intricacy in these prints requires both the artist’s and the carver’s deep appreciation for art and high technical proficiency.
The Dong Ho village still preserves these values today. When you visit, you can listen to the elderly explain the history of the paintings, learn about the printing process, and even try your hand at printing from the molds.
12:15 PM: You will head to a restaurant featuring traditional Vietnamese dishes in Bat Trang Ceramic Village.
In the afternoon, you will explore Bat Trang Ceramic Village and Ceramic Museum. The museum features a unique architecture with 5 above-ground floors, 1 basement, and two rows of two-story tiled-roof houses on both sides, primarily in earthy brown tones. Visitors can discover, and make ceramic products there.
4:30 PM: We will board the car and return to Hanoi.
