07:30 You will be picked up by our tour guide and driver at your hotel then head to Duong Lam, located in Son Tay Town about 50 km from the center of Hanoi. Enjoy the tranquil ambiance of rural areas along the way, you will stop to visit the ancient Son Tay Citadel. Built in the 3rd year of Minh Mang’s reign (1822), this is the only citadel constructed from laterite stone. The citadel features unique architecture, including laterite stone walls and four gates made from ancient bricks. It is one of the few citadels from the Minh Mang era that remains today, built to protect the northwestern region of Thang Long.
10:00 Upon arrival at Duong Lam Village, you will walk to visit the village: The Mong Phu Communal House and Mia Pagoda, located on a hill and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape, the pagoda has hundreds of wooden statues of Buddha. You will also visit the Milk Well, also known as the magical Chuong Sa Well. The well’s water never runs dry, is crystal clear year-round, and has a sweet, refreshing taste. Afterward, you will visit some traditional houses over 400 years old.
12:30 You will have lunch at a local home in the village. Enjoy a traditional Vietnamese meal prepared by a local family. After having lunch at a local home in the village,
14:00 The guide will take you to visit famous historical sites such as the temples dedicated to Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung.
15:00 Transfer back to Hanoi. On the way back to Hanoi, you will visit Van Phuc Silk Village, famous for its silk products. At the silk village, you will visit a silk production and display facility. You will learn about the silk weaving process and have the opportunity to purchase soft and elegant silk garments.
In the late afternoon, you will go back to your hotel in Hanoi, concluding the one-day tour of the Duong Lam ancient village.
