Con Dao is an archipelago located off the coast of Vung Tau, famous for its wild beauty, blue sea, white sand and diverse ecosystem. Hang Duong Cemetery

There are quite a few tourists visiting Con Dao to pay tribute to Sister Vo Thi Sau – a martyr who planted the seeds of patriotism in the hearts of many Vietnamese children through textbooks. Sister Sau’s grave is modestly located in Hang Duong Cemetery, Con Dao, alongside thousands of other patriots and civilians who sacrificed from 1862 to 1975 at Con Dao Prison.

Con Dao Prison is famously known as the “hell on earth” during the French and American invasions. When visiting this place, tourists often feel a chilling sensation and fear upon encountering the remaining artifacts.

Con Dao National Park

Con Dao National Park covers nearly 6,000 hectares of land and 14,000 hectares underwater, established three decades ago. It retains its pristine beauty due to minimal human impact. The national park boasts over 30 species of vibrant orchids, 100 species of climbers, and numerous rare herbs and woods. It is also home to many endangered species listed in the Vietnam Red Book.

      Go beach-hunting

      Con Dao travellers are spoiled for choice when it comes to secluded beaches. Take a hike to Bai Ong Dung, a stony coastal spot where you can snorkel close to shore, or head to Dam Trau Beach or Dat Doc Beach for sunbathing.
