Morning: Our tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter to begin the 4-day-3-night tour to explore and enjoy Cat Ba Beach.

Upon arrival at Cat Ba Island, you’ll check-in at the hotel; then, have lunch with many delicious fresh seafood that are caught in the sea. 

Afternoon: you will be free to swim or kayak. There are three beaches at Cat Ba Island – Cat co 1, Cat co 2, and Cat Co 3. You can easily approach them in around 10 mins from the town center or hotel.

Those are small beaches but boast good views and provide a fun and relaxing day. Each beach has a resort or two, but all of the beaches are public, so don’t let them scare you away!

Evening: After having dinner, you can stroll along Cat Ba town. This town is small so you can comfortably walk to explore Cat Ba at night. The other option, you can get an electric car to admire around town.

On that day, you should get up early and walk to the beaches to explore the life of fishing village people. They will go to the beach to catch seafood the night before and sell that product in the early morning on the beaches.

After that, back to your hotel for breakfast. You will enjoy some traditional morning foods of Vietnamese people, for example Pho, noodle, or banh cuon (rolls cake).

Then, take a bus to go to Cat Ba Harbour to start the Lan Ha Bay exploration cruise. When you arrive on a cruise, you enjoy a welcome drink with fruit tea, and coffee, and start the journey to explore Lan Ha Bay. The cruise takes guests through the ancient fishing village of Cai Beo, passing by hundreds of small islands with interesting shapes such as Pen Island, Turtle Island, Sea Lion Island,…

The cruise stops at the Dark & Bright Cave area, mysterious caves situated between Lan Ha Bay and Halong Bay. Guests receive kayaks, and life jackets, and commence the journey to paddle through the caves.

After the kayaking activity concludes, guests are taken to either Ba Trai Dao Beach or Van Boi Beach. Here, guests can immerse themselves in the deep turquoise waters of Lan Ha Bay.

Guests return to the cruise to enjoy lunch featuring a variety of local seafood. Meanwhile, as the cruise gently glides past majestic limestone formations, guests will have a romantic meal with delicious food and beautiful scenery on the Lan Ha Bay cruise.

Afternoon: Guests have a relaxing experience in the ancient village of Viet Hai. While cycling, guests can enjoy the picturesque landscapes where mountains, sea, and forests coexist harmoniously. In this area, some traditional houses from the anti-American resistance era are still preserved for visitors to explore. Additionally, guests have the unique opportunity to experience a fascinating “fish foot massage.“.

After that, heading back to the pier, on the return journey, guests can admire the beautiful scenery and join a cocktail party crafted by the onboard bartender.

Around 3:30 PM: Guests arrive at Cai Beo pier. The driver will drive you back to the hotel to relax. 

After breakfast, our tour guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel to begin a half-day trekking tour of Cát Bà National Park. The 12-kilometer trail cuts across the island, with breathtaking ancient forests stretching along both sides. Upon arrival, check-in at the entrance of Cat Ba National Park – a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. Together, we will conquer Ngu Lam Peak, the highest mountain on Cat Ba, and enjoy a panoramic view of the pristine forests from above.

Next, explore Trung Trang Cave, the largest natural cave on Cat Ba Island. This cave is adorned with shimmering stalactites, a cool interior, the gentle sound of dripping water, and the flutter of bat wings. The 300-meter-long cave extends from one entrance through the mountain to the exit on the other side, where visitors will reach the main road and stop at Trung Trang Restaurant, conveniently located near the cave’s exit.

Following this, visit Hospital Cave (Quan Y Cave), one of the most uniquely beautiful caves in the Cat Ba archipelago. Although it was once designed for use during the resistance against the Americans, it still retains its stunning, majestic natural charm.

Afterward, the vehicle will take you back to the hotel in the center of Cat Ba town, where you can enjoy lunch and rest. The afternoon is free for you to explore, relax, or go swimming.
